Preliminaries |
Cut for dealer. Dealer changes each round in a clockwise rotation. The cards are dealt face down. |
||
Play |
Commences with the dealer who decides which suit he wishes to collect and passes one of his unwanted cards face down to the player on the left. This player who now has six cards repeats the process and also passes an unwanted card to his left. This pattern continues in a clockwise direction around the table until one player has collected five cards of the same suit and announces "whistle birdie whistle". If any player on his turn receives a card that he or she has had before, this card is revealed to the rest of the players and placed at the bottom of the residue of the pack. A substitute card (which is concealed) is taken from the top of the pack, by this player, and the game continues. |
